Wimer's Organics CSA

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2010 SEASON. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WILL BE ADDED TO THIS WEBSITE BETWEEN NOW AND JANUARY 30, AND PAYPAL WILL BE ENABLED, HOPEFULLY BY THAT TIME.

Offering top quality, local, certified organic produce to southeast Pennsylvania.

2010 CSA SEASON

"I learned how to provide top quality organic produce to wholesale customers while working for Paradise Organics, a standard-setting organic farm in Lancaster County since 1980. Since launching my own business in 2007, I have provided that same top quality produce directly to eaters. The vegetables in Wimer's Organics CSA are grown at the Paradise farm and its sister farm in East Earl, PA, where I am now manager. Our CSA is a cooperative effort of three families on these two farms. We are all working together to provide a full range of certified organic vegetables and pastured eggs throughout the Pennsylvania growing season. Between the two farms we have 15 acres in vegetable production including two greenhouses and two movable high tunnels. It is very important to me to provide you with the safest and highest quality food, fresh from the farm."

CSA DETAILS

  • Vegetable Shares
  • The vegetable share covers the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons for a total of 30 weeks. Enjoy lots of salad and crisp greens to start off the season, transitioning to ripe tomatoes and many other favorites throughout the summer. In the fall, a surprising number of vegetables can still be harvested. Expect some delicious meals including winter squash, sweet potatoes, and fresh broccoli and cauliflower. The last week will feature items suitable for your Thanksgiving meal.

Share sizes- Share boxes will usually have 8 items, occasionally varying as the harvest dictates. A Full Share is expected to feed 2-4 people, depending on how often you cook and your household's appetite. Full share members receive a box every week. Half share members receive a box every other week. Half share members may not receive the complete variety of vegetables due to the every other week schedule; we'll do our best.

Prices and payment- Vegetable shares paid in full before April 30 will receive a $50 discount for full shares and $25 discount for half shares. You can reserve your membership with a $50 non-refundable deposit and pay the balance later. If you need to set up a monthly payment plan, please contact us by email, either before or after you sign up. Our regular prices are shown below. Currently this website only handles payments by check. If you need to use a credit card, you can do so by calling us at 717-445-4347. Credit card payments will include a 3% transaction fee for the credit card company.
